Family Meals

Having family meals together can be a simple opportunity with potentially significant impacts.

Togetherness: Family mealtimes can help foster a sense of connectedness and belonging among family members

Communication: Meals are times when family members can catch up with each other about school, jobs, friends, etc.

Learning: Family mealtimes are a natural setting for your teen to get some basic cooking and meal-preparation skills

Improved Nutrition: Families are more likely to eat nutritious meals when most or all of the family is together.

*** Decide what is a reasonable frequency given everyone's schedules. Even once or twice a week is still worthwhile. ***
